We provide the cPanel control panel to let you administer your website hosting with us. cPanel is a graphical interface that allows you to carry out many common hosting tasks with ease. It is widely recognized as the world’s most popular hosting control panel, and you may already be familiar with it if you have had website hosting before.
Logging into cPanel:
After ordering hosting with us, you can log into your cPanel control panel in two ways:
- By logging into your client area and navigating to Hosting Accounts > Click the Account > Log in to cPanel. In addition to the login button, you can also find an overview of the hosting details if needed.
- By logging directly into cPanel using yourdomain.com/cpanel. To access it this way, you will need your cPanel username and password, which can be found in the “Hosting Accounts” section. If you ever need to reset your password for any reason, please reach out to us for assistance.
Getting started with cPanel:
cPanel offers an intuitive interface that caters to users of varying technical expertise. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced user, cPanel provides both simplicity and advanced options to suit your needs. Here are some introductory articles to help you get started with the basics:
Installing Software:
There are two primary methods to install software. You can utilize our auto-installers, which are recommended for popular open-source software like WordPress, Joomla, and Magento. Alternatively, you have the option to manually install software by following their respective installation guides. We provide comprehensive overviews for both approaches, including specific instructions for automatically and manually installing WordPress.

Uploading and Managing Files:
Web hosting follows a folder structure similar to that of a computer. By default, your website files reside in a folder called public_html. There are multiple ways to manage your files, including using the built-in file manager, utilizing FTP/SFTP through applications such as FileZilla, or employing SSH for advanced users. Please refer to the following guides for more information:

Databases:
Databases store data for various applications, including WordPress, which relies on both files and a database. With The Geekpoint hosting, you can create unlimited databases. These databases are automatically generated when you use the auto-installation feature for software. However, you also have the option to manually add databases. At some point, you might need to view database content or make changes, such as resetting a WordPress password. The following guides provide information on creating databases and users, using PHPMyAdmin, importing and exporting databases as SQL, and establishing remote database connections:
